Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy trailer premiered during a Tuesday showing of “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.
Directed and written by James Gunn, known for the 2004 film Dawn of the Dead and 2006 Slither, the trailer certainly seemed to come out of left field.
Starring Chris Pratt and John C. Reilly, the trailer featured an abundance of space filled action and unexpected comedy. With characters like a narcissistic yet goofy, lead man known as “Star-Lord” and a raccoon named “Rocket”, this film is expected to be nothing like the heroes of the Marvel Avengers that fans have become accustomed to.
Based on the comic, Guardians of the Galaxy follow the anti-hero known as Star-Lord who happens to stumble upon an evil plan while stealing some orb thingy.
Teamed up with a ragtag squad of alien misfits, Star-Lord attempts to stop said evil plan.
With odd humor and funky music accompanying the trailer, we can only assume that this film is going to be either the dumbest movie ever created or the best thing that could possibly grace this earth.
